Lana Shuman is a second grade teacher who resides in Reidsville, Georgia. Lana is mother to two boys and wife to Produce for Kids® founder, John Shuman. With 19 years of teaching experience in grades K-2, Lana is PFK’s sounding board when it comes to education. Lana boasts a bachelor of education, master’s degree in curriculum and instruction and a specialist’s degree in teacher leadership.
Lana enjoys hunting and fishing with her boys, visiting the beach, cooking, crafting and church activities. Lana is always on the go whether it is off to teach her second grade class or extra-curricular activities with her boys, she is always in search of healthy, quick ways to feed her family. She carries the importance of healthy eating over to her classroom with fruit and veggie theme related snacks and healthy classroom parties.
Serving on the Parents on Produce board is an honor for Lana. She is excited to be able to play a part in creating healthier classrooms and offer healthy lifestyle tips to families.
