PBS KIDSĀ®

PBS KIDS and Produce for Kids partnered from 2007 to 2011 in the Eat Smart for a Great Start campaign, designed to educate families and teachers about the benefits of healthy eating and good nutrition. This strategic alliance benefited retailers and sponsors alike by providing educational content, tools and resources that promoted healthy kids and healthy communities. Many kids today eat too many foods that are high in fat, sugar or sodium, and not enough foods that are nutrient rich, like apples, strawberries, carrots and beets. Fruits and vegetables provide nutrients that bodies need to grow and stay healthy. Over the course of the five year partnership, Produce for Kids was able to raise over $740,000 for PBS KIDS.

PBSĀ® – PBS KIDS is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children through curriculum-based entertainment. With a 360-degree approach towards learning and reaching children, PBS KIDS leverages the full spectrum of media and technology advancements as well as community to build knowledge, critical thinking, imagination and curiosity. By involving parents, teachers and caregivers as learning partners, PBS KIDS helps to empower children for success in school and in life. With additional PBS resources to complement its programming, including PBS KIDS, PBS KIDS GO!, PBS Parents, PBS Teachers, PBS Ready To Learn services and literacy events across the country, PBS is providing the tools necessary for positive child development.
